On my first full day in South Africa, we went to Soweto and our first visit was with James Mange and his wife Danisile.
James was an African National Congress (ANC) activist who was on death row at Robben Island with Madiba. Later his sentence, was commuted to 20 years of imprisonment. 聽He is now a Reggae Musician and Climate Justice advocate. 聽He and Danisile are organizing Reggae Moonshine, an International festival at the聽intersection聽of social justice, ecology, and music.
Here he speaks at One Mic Many Stories in JoBurg.
